Gun control are laws or policies that regulates the
selling, owning, and usage of guns. Guns are sold and owned by a wide range of today’s
population, but in order to own or sell guns you need certain licenses that are
issued to people by the government. Furthermore they are distributed to people
every day and some people aren’t qualified to own these guns, but somehow
manage to get them, thus explaining why gun control should be further monitored
by enforcing more tests and thorough background checks.
Guns are very dangerous and when in the wrong hands it
can be a disaster. The gun law restrict guns to be owned by people under 18,
but somehow these under aged people get ahold of firearms and they do
irrational things such as school shooting or other violent activities. Under
aged people shouldn’t be able to get guns because they are not mature enough to
hold so much power. Guns are dangerous
and can be very harmful in the hands of children. It is stated that “about
1,500 children are hurt by guns every year”. Guns control laws should require
all guns to be out of reach of children to ensure children don’t get hurt from
firearm accidents. People with children that own guns need to be more cautious
and take extra measures to ensure their children’s safety. Another issue is
school shooting and other shooting incidents that occur from time to time.
These people get guns and hurt innocent people for no reason and guns seem to
be the reason why. Gun control should crack down more on gun trafficking so
that these people don’t get ahold of guns. Children shouldn’t get hurt from
guns because they are s young and have so much to live for. Guns seems to be
easy to receive because so many people own them. In fact it says “40% of all
U.S. homes have gun” and this shows that so many have guns in their
possessions, but are all of them actually qualified to own a gun. Gun control
need to make more test in order to get a license so that we can be sure that
the people who get the license and are capable of owning a gun properly.
Another thing is they need to issue mental or background checks on people
before giving them a license or a gun. Some people aren’t mentally stable to
possess a gun. Shooting are usually cause by people with bad intentions or
people with some mental disorder. With a test for mental state or background
check we can stop incidents like these from ever happening. Guns control don’t restrict
guns sold in gun shows don’t require back ground checks in private transactions.
Gun control don’t restrict criminals from obtaining guns. Gun control doing
background checks are an invasion of privacy. Gun control allow guns to anyone
due to second amendment. Gun control doesn’t prevent gun incidents education of
guns do. Gun control is racist to certain races. Gun control gives too much to
the government.
Gun control policies were made to allow us to bear
firearms and it is also stated in the 2nd Amendment for us to bear
arms. Guns are used by the people to protect their family and themselves, but
others use them for alternative purposes to cause violence and inflict injuries
to others. Guns are allowed to people only if they are issued a license that’s
why the government needs to make it harder to get a license by giving out more
test in order to get a license and to do background and mental test to see if a
person is capable of having a firearm. Guns are supposed to be used to protect
oneself or ones family so gun licenses that are harder to receive will make it
so that it’s possible to protect the people and not be misused by others.
